NESUS Winter School 2016 & PhD Symposium. Grants & Application
NESUS winter school is open to all NESUS members, but specially devoted to PhD students and early stage researchers into the network.
There are between 30 and 35 grants available for the 2016 winter school, depending on budget availability. The grant provides a flat rate to cover all student expenses (flight, hosting, meals, …). Facilities will be provided by the Local Host for hosting in student premises of Timisoara University. All trainees will have a place in student hostels with a affordable rate (max 20 Euro/night).
IMPORTANT: The grant amount changes depending on the country of the trainee due to available airplane fares. Please, see the different grants in the following file: NESUS Winter School 2016-grants
Together with the Winter School, we´ll celebrate a PhD Symposium where PhD students attending the school will have the possibility to present their PhD research to a senior court and other attendees of the school. This presentation should be very brief (5-10 minutes due to agenda restrictions). The idea is to allow people to present their work to promote further collaboration with other members of the Action in the form of STSM, Joint papers, etc.

Call for tutorials (Closed)
NESUS Winter School will be held in January 2016 at of West University of Timisoara. It is aimed to PhD students and young researchers from the groups in theAction, but also to external participants, to provide valuable knowledge in sustainable ultrascale computing.
NESUS Winter School seeks half-day tutorial proposals, which should provide clear and focused teaching material covering new and emerging topics within the scope of communications.
The tutorial proposal should describe concisely the content, importance and timeliness of the tutorial. It should contain the following sections:
1. Title of tutorial.
2. Outline of the tutorial.
– Hands on labs (if needed). Please specify the infrastructure you need.
3. The tutorial speaker(s) and affiliation.
– Where appropriate state the topics they will cover in the tutorial.
4. Brief CVs for each tutorial speaker
– No more than 300 words per person.
5. Importance and timeliness of the tutorial, an realtion with NESUS WG.
6. Previous lecture and tutorial experience of the tutorial speaker(s).
Submitted tutorial proposal should not exceed FIVE pages and it should be submitted in one all-in-one PDF file.
